Collective Worship
Our Collective Worship takes place every day in line with statutory expectations and guidance. It is planned by Mrs Charlotte Watson, our leader for Collective Worship, and then led by school staff. We gather as a whole school for 4 days of the week, with class worship on one day; children and staff are encouraged to engage with a focus. This may be a story, picture, music, poem or object...anything really. There is then usually the chance for children to share their responses and ideas, and reflect together before continuing on their day with a thought or message to take with them.
In line with best practice for Collective Worship, the sessions are inclusive and invitational: they are accessible to all, and families have the right to withdraw their children if they wish. More information about Collective Worship, including some of the children's thoughts, is below.
